·Through the contact form and advice module on betterview.nl we collect: name, email address, and company name.
·Via Google Analytics (after consent) we collect anonymized usage data such as page views, session duration, and device type.
·Via PostHog (EU cloud, Frankfurt) we collect anonymized session data: page views, clicks, scroll behavior, and masked session recordings. Page text and form field values are masked and not stored. No personal data.
·To recognize business visitors we use Leadinfo. Leadinfo resolves the IP address to the company name and public company details, and sets a cookie for this. We rely on legitimate interest and use it solely to see which organizations visit our website; individual consumers are not identified.
·Through the free analysis at betterview.nl/en/analysis we collect: the Instagram handle you enter, your email address, the two declarations you tick with their timestamp and IP address, and the figures we calculate about that public account.
·We do not collect special categories of personal data.
3. Purpose of processing
·Name, email, and company name are used to follow up on lead requests and to send relevant information about our services (on the basis of legitimate interest or consent).
·Email addresses may be added to our email list via MailerLite, only if you have explicitly consented.
·The data from the free analysis is used to email you the result and to contact you about our services (legitimate interest). The declarations you tick are recorded as evidence that you stated you own the account.
4. Retention
·Lead form data is retained for up to 24 months after last contact, or until you ask us to delete it.
·The posts we fetch for the free analysis, captions included, are discarded right after the calculation. The result, your email address and the recorded declaration are kept for as long as the request sits in our records, on the same 24 month term.
·Anonymized analytics data is retained for up to 12 months.
5. Your rights
·You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. Email [email protected] to request this.
·You can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
6. Client platform and analysed profiles
·This policy covers visitors to betterview.nl and enquiries submitted through this website.
·If you work at a client and use our content platform, a separate notice applies: library.betterview.nl/legal/privacy. For that data Betterview is a processor and the client is the controller.
·If your public Instagram profile was analysed by us as reference material, library.betterview.nl/legal/profiles sets out what we hold, why, for how long, and how to have it deleted with one email. For that processing Betterview is the controller.

7. The free analysis
·The analysis only works on your own account. When you request it you declare that the account is yours and that you are authorised to have it analysed; we record that declaration with the time, the handle, your email address and your IP address.
·We only read public data, without logging in: your profile and your most recent posts. Those posts are used once to calculate the figures and are discarded afterwards.
·You receive the result by email, and we will contact you about our services. If you would rather we did not, email [email protected] and we will delete your data and leave you alone.
·We do not compare your account with anyone else's, and we do not analyse third party accounts through this tool.
·For this we use Apify to read the public Instagram data, and Resend to send the email.
8. Opt-out: disable tracking
·You can disable anonymized session analytics (PostHog) at any time via the 'Disable tracking' button at the bottom of every page. Your preference is stored locally in your browser.
·You can decline Google Analytics via the cookie banner at the bottom of the page, or by removing the 'cookieConsent' cookie from your browser.
·Leadinfo B2B visitor recognition only loads after you accept the cookie banner. Remove the 'cookieConsent' cookie to opt out again.
